Dr Daniel Leach
CO-FOUNDER AND MEDICAL DIRECTOR
MBChB, MRCGP, CCFP, DipIMC RCSEdDr Dan Leach is the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Eripio Health, With a background spanning GP and prehospital emergency medicine (PHEM), Dan’s career has consistently centred on getting expert care to patients when and where they need it most.
He has a strong background in Pre-hospital and Remote medicine. From Wilderness and Remote Expedition medicine, Mountain Rescue, Motorsport with British Super Bikes and MotoGP to working with leading UK services including UK HEMS and BASICS. Responding to complex emergencies from urban to remote mountain environments. He also served as a consultant in aeromedical retrieval with the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Australia, gaining invaluable experience in long-range, high-acuity transport. His deep clinical expertise is matched by a passion for operational excellence and safety in the most time-critical situations. He also volunteers his own time to work on healthcare projects in Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania in which he is working alongside the Ministry of Health to improve trauma care and the establishment of prehospital networks.
Eripio Health was born from Dan’s belief that emergency care can and should be delivered with precision, compassion, and adaptability. Whether arranging single mission bespoke critical care transfers, international repatriation, or fixed-wing and rotary solutions at a national level, Dan ensures that every mission is clinician-led and patient outcome focused.
A former Aeronautical Engineer in the Royal Air Force, Dan brings engineering discipline and systems thinking to modern healthcare. He is also a leading voice in promoting diversity within medicine, advocating for inclusive teams that harness diverse thinking under pressure and focusing on confident humility.

Lee Salmon
CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Lee Salmon is the Co-Founder and Director of Eripio Health, he has an extensive background as a Critical Care Paramedic with significant experience as a business strategist. Lee is an advocate for health equity with over two decades of frontline and leadership experience.
Born from a career defined by service in high acuity environments, Lee has become a trusted voice for rural health innovation, aeromedical operations, and dignified equitable care delivery in underserved communities. His most recent departure from one of the UK's leading HEMS organisations marked not an end; but a defining moment, a personal decision made not out of convenience - but conviction.
Lee works for what he believes matters most - the patient, their journey and the integrity of the system around them. He refuses to compromise on the standards of care or the values of accountability, compassion, and courage.
Now, through Eripio Health; Lee is shaping bold, patient first solutions that address longstanding gaps in rural and island healthcare. Whether advising on policy, supporting family run services, or launching new models of care, his work is rooted in one unwavering principle: when someone is at their most vulnerable, the system should be at its most dependable.

Tania Leach
CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
BSc Hons, MScTania has over 15 years of experience in prehospital and trauma care and currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Critical Care Paramedic for Eripio Health, where she works closely with the Directors to ensure the technological infrastructure and operational objectives align with the company’s mission. In addition to Tania’s technical responsibilities, she specialises in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), prehospital care, specialist transfers, disaster medicine and repatriation services. Tania’s role ensures that Eripio Health stays at the forefront of medical technology and medical research, optimising our services to deliver the best care to patients in need.
Tania’s Paramedic career has not only been extensive in the NHS as a Senior Paramedic Team Leader; it has spanned continents, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Tanzania. She is passionate about excellent care in traumatic incidents and has volunteered at many motorsports events as a trackside Paramedic over the years.
Tania has recently completed a Master’s degree in Global Health at the University of Manchester; with a strong emphasis on disaster response medicine and global repatriation. She volunteers her time as a Prehospital Healthcare Consultant for TUHEDA by providing strategic advice to the Ministry of Health in Zanzibar. This focuses on enhancing trauma care systems and developing comprehensive trauma training programmes for medical professionals in the region.
Tania is also the Co-Founder and Director of QuickDoc.ca, where she helped create and launch an innovative online platform connecting clients in Canada with medications for specific lifestyle conditions. Additionally, she is the Founder and Operational Director of Valens Health UK, a healthcare company specialising in men's health and hormone optimisation therapies.
Tania is dedicated to leveraging her extensive healthcare experience to drive innovation in global health systems. Fluent in French, she integrates this skill into her work, contributing to more effective communication and service delivery, especially in French-speaking regions.
In her spare time, Tania is an avid mountain-biker, surfer, mountaineer and snowboarder.

Nigel Harling
SPECIALIST ADVISOR
Nigel has dedicated his life to mountain rescue and community service, beginning his involvement at the age of 18 with Longtown MRT before moving to Patterdale MRT. Over the years, he has held numerous leadership roles including Training Officer, Deputy Team Leader, Trustee, Association Secretary, and now serves as Chair of the Trustees. Beyond his local team, he has contributed nationally as Operations Lead with LDSAMRA, MREW Helicopter Officer, and UK representative at both the UKSAR Air Assets Group and the International Commission for Alpine Rescue, where he is currently Vice President of the Air Commission. He is also Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Voluntary Search and Rescue, a forum he has supported since its inception.
A retired Police Officer, Nigel brings extensive experience from roles in Emergency Planning, Organised Crime, and Counter-Terrorism. He was also Secretariat for the Cumbria SAR Group, coordinating multi-agency search and rescue across the county.
His commitment to safety and risk management extends globally, having led or supported youth and independent expeditions on six continents. He has worked with Ukrainian aid charities, overseeing safeguarding and logistics, and most recently managed safety and risk on an expedition to Oman retracing Bertram Thomas’s pioneering journey. In addition, he serves as a UK ambassador and instructor for Recco, a specialist avalanche and ground search technology.
Away from rescue and expeditions, Nigel has an impressive record of community leadership. He has served as Vice Chair of Penruddock Primary School, Trustee and Expedition Chair of the British Schools Exploring Society, Chair of Penruddock Sports Committee, and is the current Chair of Penrith Swimming Club. He continues to support youth development as a Trustee of the Andrew Croft Memorial Fund and District Commissioner for Eden District Scouts.
A fun fact: Nigel once held the world record for crossing Greenland on skis using parachutes, completing the East-to-West traverse - a record that stood unchallenged for 25 years.

Dr Doug Davies
BMBS, BSc Hons
Doug Davies is the Assistant Medical Director for Eripio Health. Doug has a vast array of experience across a number of sectors including Pre-hospital and critical care. Having begun his journey into PHEM more than 20 years ago he brings experience alongside a desire to see continual progression of services. He has progressed from working in Outdoor Education and Mountain Rescue, to joining the ambulance service and qualifying as a Paramedic, through to qualification as a Doctor specialising in Anaesthetics and Critical Care. Along the way he has picked up a first-class honours degree in Paramedic Practice and a BMBS from Brighton and Sussex Medical school.
Doug’s PHEM experience began as an outdoor instructor working in remote environments around the world. This led to Mountain Rescue where he undertook hundreds of rescues as part of the UK’s busiest team; serving as both their equipment officer and one of the principle casualty care trainers. He then joined the NHS Ambulance Service and qualified as a Paramedic, working for the next 10 years including during his medical studies. Since qualifying as a Doctor he has specialised in Anaesthetics and Critical Care. He has maintained a strong interest in PHEM continuing to provide service through BASICS and as an instructor for a UK HEMS service. He also instructs on Critical Care Transfer and PHEM courses, regionally and nationally. He is a published author with a strong research background including international presentations. Alongside Doug’s NHS work he works regularly on mass participation events including some of the world’s largest running events, providing medical oversight and support on behalf of the event organisers.
Doug brings a strong clinical governance background to Eripio Health, from working as a clinical governance lead within critical care at a UK NHS acute trust. A blend of these experiences makes Doug a valuable asset within the Eripio team to help drive and develop services that are dynamic, innovative and, above all, provide outstanding patient care.
